Press Release Tips for Latter Day Press Release

Ensure your news release meets these criteria:
1 – Must relate to the LDS market (Example: LDS Owner, LDS Product)
2 – Newsworthy Content
3 – Objective Voice
4 – Proper English: Avoid using slang, ALL CAPS, exclamation points!
5 – Contact information including a phone number and email address.
6 – True and accurate information.
7 – Length should be between 300 & 800 characters
8 – Include info on the LDS relation, if it is not clear how the Press Release relates to the LDS market.
9 – Limit links to 1 to 2 per press release.

What should you avoid including in your press release:
1 – Advertisements
2 – Personal Opinions
3 – Sexually Explicit Material
4 – Profane or Vulgar Material
5 – Words frequently used for SPAM.
6 – Blog Postings
7 – Opinion Postings
8 – Duplicate content (watch for copyrights)
9 – Fiction
10 – Content intended to harm someone else.
11 – Illegal material
